Top Local Tips for Tijuana

Don't buy ANYTHING at "full-price." DECLINE or WALK AWAY & get a BARGAIN! Don't buy anything at "full-price." Look around first---EVERY seller wants to sell something to you. Compare. Or say, "no thank you" and walk away---they will keep CUTTING the price, and cutting the price, until you agree to BUY---or walk out of the store.

The Water Do not drink the water! The locals will tell you this also. Most hotels including the Lucerna will provide some bottle water at check in. The weater is always in the low 60's for the lows and mid 70's for the highs. Keep in mind that in the summer months the water (sea) only gets to temps of about 70 degree.

Getting to Tijuana Getting to and from Tijuana can be a bit tricky, my suggestion would be to take the trolly from Downtown San Diego to the border, walk across through customs, and then take a cab to your destination, and just do the opposite on the way home. Line ups heading north from Tijuana in car are very long and were reported to take a couple of hours to get through.
