Nacho's Restaurant Nacho, nickname for Ignacio, the chef at Villa Bejar, had just opened a little open-air restaurant in town at the top of the hill from Villa Bejar on the circle in Tequesquitengo. The food was good and inexpensive, with a similar menu to the one at Villa Bejar. Nacho's wife and young son who waited on us were delightful, and it was worth the visit just to see the traffic go around the circle in town at night. Try the stew baked in a clay pot with cactus for a local treat.

Your Trip into Tequesquitengo Daniel will probably pick you up at the airport. Your ride from the Mexico City airport to the hotel takes about 2 hours. Go to the restroom before you embark on your trip since Daniel speaks very little English. He is very sweet and offers you bottled water on your ride. Unless you plan to take a lot of trips into the local towns there is really no need to exchange your American dollars into pesos. You will tip out the staff at the end of your stay, and you can leave the tips on your credit card or give Rapha American dollars. If you do want to exchange your dollars use a casa de cambia instead of a bank. You will get a better rate. There are many casa de cambia at the airport and in the larger towns.
