The Posada De Tampico is conveniently located five minutes from the airport. Since flights in and out of Tampico are rather limited this is a deciding factor if you have to catch a 7 AM flight out. The food is great and the accommodations are clean and comfortable. For the business traveler there are some inconveniences though. The Posada does not have wireless high speed internet yet and telephone communication can not be guaranteed on every stay. The Posada is not located near the downtown area so taking a stroll to see the sites is not an option either. The staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful and some English is spoken if your Spanish is weak or nonexistent. All in all, when you need to catch a flight the Posada is the place to stay. Otherwise you might want to check out some of the great places in downtown Tampico.
