This is one more secret treasure that Mexicans have in their wonderful country. The colonial architecture is simple yet magnificent, accomodations are A+ clean [ Mr. Clean commercials can be shot here...:-)] , the prices are FANTASTIC! and the attention from the staff is way above industry standards. The place is not only safe but filled with tranquility and peace. The best part for me was the sunset from the third floor terrace where you can see the sun "burning down on the lake". Breakfast [ real breakfast with fresh fruit included] was included in the excellent rate andd it's ready at your command. Make arrangemnents with the polite and cheerful manager and he will drop you in town [ 7 minutes away] and you can hop back on a cab at your leisure[3-4 USD] I am going back in the summer and I will stay there again without a doubt.
