My husband and I visited the Intercontinental Presidente in April of 2006. At the time I was 5 months pregnant. I found the accomodations, staff, food and surroundings to be excellent. When we were there we made plans to come back when our daughter was old enough to enjoy travel. We have booked again and will return this March. We especially think the vacation will be great due to the safe and child friendly surroudings. We also look forward to the room service just incase the baby is too sleepy to take in a restaurant. We found that many visitors there travelled with their children. The food, well there is something for everyone. We ate at both the budffet restaurants and the reservation restaurants. All were excellent. We were always able to get into whatever restaurant we desired. The pools are great, the family pool will be excellent for our young daughter. A 5******* resort. We can't wait for our vacation.

The amenities are very good, food is ok, however I was with my partner and the staff was sometimes rude!!

I am shocked to see that the “supposed guest” who stayed in this hotel in December 2005 could report such untruths. It is obvious that these comments are based on the comments, here-say and/or the nonsense which has been reported in the media, and not on the facts. Nonetheless, to set the matter correct, I was a guest at the Presidente InterContinental Los Cabos, and in fact, witnessed the events of the incident at the pool, and the reports the “big news” in the Mexican TV are far from the reality. The hotel staff (and might I add, other guests) responded appropriately to the situation, and should be commended in the calm manner in which they treated the two individuals in question. In fact, one of the individuals had become so drunk from the drinks that his friend kept bringing him, which it was not really safe for him to remain in the pool. Additionally, despite the fact that the grossly excessive display of affection by the two persons was distasteful (as would have been even if a heterosexual couple would have been conducting themselves in the same manner), several parents of teenagers alerted the hotel staff that these two individuals were “chasing after” and in fact molesting their children to the point of trying to drop one of their swimming trunks and inviting them to the room for inappropriate activity. It was at this point that the hotel staff responded. Might I add, they responded in the most professional and appropriate manner which could have been expected, more so than any of us could have imagined considering that the lesser drunk of the two became very aggressive, and began pushing guests who were trying to assist his partner to keep him from falling back into the pool. At no point did the hotel staff respond with any demeaning words, which is more than I can say for the guests in the area who were obviously riled by the incident, and pleased when the staff escorted the two towards their room (one in a wheelchair because he was so drunk he couldn’t walk, and the other by himself with the staff at his side). At no moment did anyone punch, kick, or do anything to harm the two guys. Shortly thereafter, we heard one of the two screaming and running toward the lobby, at which point he fell in front of the restaurant area (perhaps injuring himself?). Approximately 30 minutes later, upper management came to the area with a police officer and briefly interviewed some of the witnesses. So… if it is going to be maintained that such “gossip” can be reported, I am certain that the hotel cannot or may not respond, however, I CAN, to set the story straight. During my stay, I saw many obviously gay couples, and at no point did the hotel interfere with them having an enjoyable time. The response of the hotel had nothing to do with sexual orientation but rather the scandal and inappropriate behaviour of the two individuals. Kudos to the hotel for handling the matter appropriately, and I really regret the negativity that these individuals are creating, because the hotel is a wonderful place to stay for all respectable people – Gay or Heterosexual.

We stayed at this hotel from 01-04-06 to 01-11-06, it was my wife, daughter (13) and I. I would have to say this was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. We own a time share in Cabo and stayed there last year (2005), we had a better time here than at our time share. The food was excellent; the staff was friendly, even the lady mopping the walkway every morning. The town of San Jose is only about a 20 minute walk from the hotel and there are things to do there depending on what you like. One draw back was that you can not swim in the ocean, which to some people might be alright. We got in the ocean but mostly stayed by the pool. The pool had activities and the music going, but if you want quiet just move to the quiet pool, it has it's own bar there, all to yourself. We booked a tour and it left from the marina in Cabo, it cost $35 one way in a taxi, $2 on the bus and it takes about 30 minutes, it was not too bad of a ride. For my wife and I we enjoyed the relaxation, my daughter got bored because of the time of year we went there were not too many kids there, keep that in mind when planning if you have kids. Keep in mind if you have ever been to Cabo San Lucas it is much busier than San Jose, the beach at this hotel is quiet, I saw three people selling things on the beach, in Cabo the hotel had to rope off an area so the vendors would not bother you. So if you want busy go to Cabo, the beach bars and the downtown bars are there. This place is on the other end and there are not too many bars in the area, maybe three or four, nothing like Cabo. The grounds on the property are just like the pictures, they are clean and very well manicured. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, we had a great time.

Great Place, Ok Food, Good Drinks. Good Staff, Gay Friendly. Would come back for sure. Only down side, you can't go into the Ocean. Heavy Under tow. But, 200 yards down the beach...no problem. Clean Rooms, really had a great time.

I really enjoy this hotel/resort. The employees were outstanding, super friendly and helpful. This is a great place to relax. Our room was clean and I loved our view of the ocean. Oh, the food and drinks were also great.

Excellent property, great stay. Quiet and relaxing, probably not for singles or all night partiers, might want to try Cabo San Lucas for that. We stayed on the all-inclusive and enjoyed mostly great meals and plenty of drinks at the pool bar!! We will definitely stay there again and will recommend to everyone we know.
