Top Local Tips for San Felipe

El Dorado Restaurant This restaurant is about ten minutes from the city, driving back towards Mexicali. The food is very good, and the service is excellent. The prices are also very reasonable. They have live music and on certain nights offer karaoke. It is frequented by retirees and also families. Their coconut shrimp are absoulutely delicious. We found ourselves making the drive there quite a few times during our stay in San Felipe. It is very easy to locate, just look for the giant palapa, which is easily visible from the highway.

Golf The golf course at the san felipe resort has NOT broke ground as yet. Nearest golf course is around 20-25 mls away. WE WERE TOLD THERE WAS GOLF ON THE PREMISES.

Don´t miss EL VALLE DE LOS GIGANTES Visit El Valle de los Gigantes, they have the largest cactus I have ever seen. It is a magnificent view of the desert vegetation. It is really worth it. It is just a few minutes away south of the hotel. I would recomend to visit this place early in the morning during the summer, or at any time the rest of the year, because of the shadows, you can have he best pictures early in the morning or before dusk.
