I arrived to this hotel (definitely not an hacienda) and we couldn't stay there. The reception was awful. There was a lady who couldn't even talk and even when the hotel was completely empty, they sent us to the worst room. This room was a room for 4 people but when we opened the door, the door couldn't open completely because the bed doesn't allow it, so we jumped to the room and to the left was the other bed and in front of it was another bed. If you dare to sit on them you felt a pain in your back. They asked us to pay fully the rate in before we arrived there. We didn't even mind to loose that money because the service is terrible and the customer service worst. Even that, we look for another hotel, finding (thanks God!) place on the Holiday Inn (Great hotel, great service) and we left. But we asked for the invoice for Irs purposes and they said that they will not give it to us because the hotel was loosing.....???? Loosing what? We didn't ask for the return of the money and they didn't even bother to ask what was wrong. When we told them that we were not staying, they said ok, and that was all.
Don't loose your money, don't go there. Even when you have no reservation you could get to San Cristobal de las Casas and downtown you will find space in great hotels, clean and with good service.
