It happens I was driving early on a Sunday Morning 7:00am going to work and I was pulled over by the police, The officer was in a Saltillo Police truck but he had no name badge and he refused to give me his name after he fined me 1500 Pesos for running a red light that I had not passed thru. I was heading in the opposite direction of the intersection in question. The consulate was useless in applying charges against the police. My recomandation is that should you ever be pulled over by the police you can tell the officer to get his supervisor there or go ahead and go to the police station and get names, I have not been pulled over since but that is a random thing. Just because you are obeying the laws doesn't mean Barney Fife doesn't need a little cash to make it till payday. Oh to add the fine for running a red light is 40 pesos and if you pay within 48 hours 50% off.... Ya I was robbed by the authorities...... It Happens...
