Great kick it spot! just....

This is a great weekend kick it spot,
just make sure you get front beach room,since the regular rooms lack of a/c and windows and could be very hot in the rooms(take a fan if you can). I reserved a regular room, but I kept asking for other cancellations for front beach room untill I got one,the girls at the front desk are really,really nice.We the family will go back just for the fact that they made it right for us. Not to mention the beach and the pool. And the food just great!
It is a walk to the town but it is worth it,just keep an eye of what's around you and blend in with the locals and if you have time go eat at puerto nuevo(great lobster)wich is around 15 min. driving time on carretera libre(free highway/no fee)
once you get there park your car anywhere don't let the guys by the entrance milk you for couple of $'s. to watch your car(BS).
all in all great places to visit -the beach has become very clean perhaps more clean that the ones in the states. Ride horses and drink responsibly at the beach and if somebody bothers you, just call the beach personell and they will remove the party poopers. I was amazed by the way they are taking care of the image of this place.
Los pelicanos simply a great place to stay Trust me!

You see the beach as soon as you get there and it is beautiful. The room was fine except that it is dark - there is a tiki feel to it. You have to ask for the wifi key from the restaurant upstairs. Food was great and so was the price. I had a large T-bone steak booked perfectly with a large squid, a Don Cuervo margarita and all for just $20. I will return.

I can't say enough about Los Pelicanos! The rooms are clean, comfortable and authentic looking. Each oceanfront room has a balcony overlooking the beautiful pool in front of the beach. The restaurant has great food. I've tried other places in Rosarito but will always return here. The only downside is that it's about 8 blocks from the town center, so it's a bit of a walk. On the other hand, it makes this a very, very quiet hotel...not for rowdy teenagers.

I have been going to this hotel for many years and each year it gets better and better. Many of the hotel staff have been there for many years and are all very nice. This hotels is one of the best on the beach and the food the best.

Top Local Tips for Rosarito

just relax have a drink (or two), a few quail as an appetizer and get ready to enjoy food that you cannot find anywhere else in the area.

The hotel restaurant Food was good...but its the most enjoyable when just relaxing by the candlelight dinners and the decorative, unique and romantic-like setting.

Bus rides From Tijuana a bus ride only costs $1.40 USD on SuburBaja. Compare that to $14 on MexiCoach. Sure, the accommodations are a little less...comfy, but would you rather pay 10x more?
