Fantastic. Not many times you can say fantastic about a hotel. First class all the way. Paradise all the way. The food is unbelievable along with the staff, the rooms etc etc. I could go on..........

Top Local Tips for Riviera Maya

Some Good --Some Not So Good---Ay Paraiso Maya-Lindo Photos and travel brochures may make it look more luxurious and upscale than it really is.Bring comfortable walking shoes,much sunblock,pool floats if desired.Men must wear slacks to all dinners--no jeans or shorts allowed at all.Nice,family-active fun but not a classy retreat.Bring small stroller for very young ones----much walking to do for all (and I generally like to walk-so be aware of this.) Restaurant food and shows are only fair.Maya side of resort is a little nicer than Lindo but all is kinda connected and nearby.Be sure of hurricane after-math if you have this misfortune because all that is reported by resort,travel agents etc. is not always true.We were lucky to have bought travel insurance and have taken photos and noted facts so we were not as messed up as we could have been.

make sure you stay at the lindo or maya Their are four resorts in the Parisio, don't stay at the del mar or beach, the accomedations are not as good as the lindo and maya. Lindo/Maya have access to all four, but the other two cannot access Lindo/Maya.

Crocun Zoo is the best attarction in the Mayan - even better than Xcaret! In this area you HAVE to go to the Crococun Zoo. It is incredible. The interactive zoo allows kids (and adults!) to hold live crocdiles, snakes and parrots. We went to Xcaret and had the whole dolphin experience but the Crococun Zoo was received better by the kids. It is also a heck of alot cheaper and the guides are very knowledgeable. We loved it all but the Crococun Zoo was the best.
