Wonderful!
A first class hotel with loads to do. Staff wonderful and couldn't do enough for you. Food was exceptional, quick service and staff extremely polite. Room was immaculate and grounds very well kept and beautiful. Had a wonderful time on honeymoon and was worth every penny. Only critism was beach wasn't wonderful, but nothing could be done about that.

Disappointing!!
We were to check in on Saturday, but due to a canceled connecting flight we did not arrive until the following evening. The resort did nothing to compensate us: no extension of our stay or even the offer of an upgrade! As we were checking in we were informed that the shuttle from the resort to Cancun & Playa del Carmen was already booked for the entire week. It was almost impossible to find a lounge chair at any of the pools or beach. (Most people leave a book or towel on a chair the night before!How tacky is that?!) We were also told no reservations were needed for dinner at any of the wonderful restaurants; however, reservations were taken for guests in the high $$$$ casitas, but not for those in the main part of the resort. As a result we missed out on several fine restaurants. On the plus side, the massage packages from the spa were amazing!

Romantic Resort and best staff
I want you to know we had the best vacation. The staff at El Dorado Royale has such heplful, polite, friendy and careing staff. From the drivers, entertainment people, waiters and hostess, they should be proud of the staff. It was paradise and I wish we could have stayed longer. We did extend our stay by two days making our vacation 9 days, next time we will spend two weeks there. Thank you to Karenya for the fun bike adventure and feeding the alligators, and thank you to Jamie who had lots of patience trying to teach us how to Salsa. When ever we called for a ride the drivers where promt and friendly.
El Dorado Royale should be proud of their staff, they present themselves with alot with grace and elegance. For being so far away from home and it being such a big Resort I always felt safe, secure, and welcome. It is such a beautiful place and I am sure it takes alot of maintainence to keep the place looking how nice it is.

Great everything
We stayed in the casita suites. Everything from the rooms to the service to the food and the atmosphere was excellent. Definetly would stay there again.
