| Watch out for Funjet's Lomas Travel!!! |
|
The review by Michele is pretty accurate. I've been to 8 different resorts in Mexico, and this one really stunk like sewage - I've never had that before. Also, our slider lock was broken and it was difficult to get staff to come and fix it. This seems to be a chronic problem down in Mexico - I advise everyone to make sure locks work on all doors or refuse to take the room and ask for a new one. On a positive note, this resort did a GREAT job of making sure minors did not get free access to alcohol - that was a first and very welcomed!
On a final note, this is not related to the resort, but rather Funjet. They partner with Lomas Travel for airport transfers to the resort. BEWARE - WATCH OUT - DO NOT LET YOUR LUGGAGE LEAVE YOUR SIGHT FOR AN INSTANT AND DO NOT TRUST IT IN THE HANDS OF THEIR STAFF. Our luggage was stolen when Lomas staff forced us to get into the van stating they knew which bags were ours and would pack them. They did not and they fell off the grid entirely never... Read more |

This was our first time there. We had to wait 3 hrs before getting a room, I felt that we were just left there while waiting, nobody approached us and offered a welcome drink, or maybe a tour of the hotel. We were told that for the one restaurant you needed reservations, only to find out the line ups were a mile long and even to get into the buffet. I have seafood allergies and a lot of the food wasn't identified if it contained seafood and sometimes it didn't even have a name. Selection of liquor was terrible. Not impressed with pool, too small. Didn't enjoy smelling sewage while I was sitting on the beach. Friends of ours had their cameras stolen that had all our vacation pictures on them. Also didn't like the fact that when we went to check out people had no idea what bus they were to be getting on. There should have been a Rep there from Transat. I'm sure we will not be returning to this hotel. |
