Rental Cars When we got to Puerto Vallarta, we were supposed to have a rental car, BUT our flight got in 2 hrs late. So the rental car agency at the airport was closed. The people around told us that we would have to take a taxi to Guayabitos and come back for the rental car (it is approx. 1hr there, a 60-80$ taxi ride). We didn't think that was a very great idea, so we talked to everyone we could at the airport, and finally they called the Alamo agency (which is about 5 min away), they came right over and picked us up and took us to the other agency to get the car. When you make the reservation, call the agency in Puerto Vallarta and know their polict regarding delayed flights. Also, get the name of the person you talked with. This is invaluble!
