Staying at this hotel is like being on a vacation. You wake in the morning to the sound of song birds. The courtyards are something to be seen. Just walking around and looking at the architecture and antiques is worth spending a day. The restaurant in house is superb; whether you eat from the buffet or from the menu. The pool outside is appealing in the day or the night. Only a little pricey, but worth it.
Almost all of the staff speaks a little english so you can get by if you don't know too much spanish.
My only negative comments are ...
they charge extra for the internet & someone charged a meal for four to my room which I had to get refunded.

Top Local Tips for Queretaro

Go North Queretaro is a more modern town. If you want a more colonial experience, stay in San Miguel and travel north to Dolores Hildago. It has great history, birthplace of the Mexican Revolution. It has better Mexican shopping, loads of Talevera.
