As a traveler with a mobility problem, I left Canada last winter with high hopes, but some concerns. I need not have worried. Our two weeks were absolutely wonderful: the staff; the food; our lovely 8th floor room and flower-draped balcony; the large free-form pool and lush tropical vegetation everywhere. (I identified 28 species of birds without ever leaving the grounds.) Late this January, we return to spend THREE weeks "in Puerto Vallarta's bit of Heaven": the Fiesta Americana. Not for anything would we trade places with passengers on the huge new cruise ships out on Banderas Bay: but we'll wave, and take pictures of all the boating activity, and of whales and dolphins and sea-birds. It doesn't get any better.
