Three years ago the hotel was in a sorry state but with lots of tlc and enthusiasm is has become a warm and inviting place for short or long term stays. With the addition of a Marguerita Bar called Salud this December the evenings were made even nicer with a place to sit and have a great drink while the sun sets and listen to some equally great music. Prices are still good and each unit has been renovated. Many Canadian (mature) couples make this place their home away from home for 3 to 4 months a year.

Excellent property for the money. Recently renovated, great location, absolutely fantastic views. Self contained apartment style units done in warm colours with original artwork and all new appliances, A/C and fans, large sundeck surrounding a medium sized pool. Every room faces the ocean. All persons welcome facility, great value in the off season and a really good one in the high season. Exit/entrance from pool level to Amapas street below is steep ramps and steps, so not for the mobility challenged. Would be great for group bookings if you have a large group with a wide variety of budget ranges.

Walk Away from the Water and Tourist Zones We found the most delicious seafood and Mexican restaurants when we walked off the main drags and away from the beach. You typically find U.S. prices in those areas. With a little walking and research you can find amazing restaurants run by small proprietors that are very affordable and charming.
