Staff is always in a bad mood, rooms are old and dirty, the beds are terrible. Overpriced. Avoid this place!

Location and air condition were good....and that's where it ends for our trip in November 2006. We prepaid with a credit card prior to checking in, then upon check out were forced to pay cash because they couldn't "find" a record of our payment or even a record of us staying there. It was a nightmare at 4am trying not to miss our flight, and being "ripped off" by the front desk clerk. He wouldn't even accept another credit card. Needless to say, our credit card was charged, and they received cash. After multiple emails to hotel management it's obvious they don't intend to help in anyway. I assume it's not the first time or the last this hotel has forced someone to double pay for a room. All I can say, don't fall for their b.s., pick another hotel. There are much better ones.

Top Local Tips for Puerto Vallarta
After drinking, catch a cab. Puerto Vallarta is extremely safe, however, after a night of drinking, I would reccomend taking a taxicab.
taxis and buses there are taxis parked right in front of the hotel...buses are 5 pesos {50cents}...when you get to the airport, do not let the people in the aisle stop you with offers of free taxis...go to the front door and there are taxis waiting....the people in the aisles are trying to get you hooked into spending time at a time share meeting...BEWARE....
Don't get ripped on your cab ride from the airport go to VIP at the Puerto Vallarta Airport. They will charge you about $20 for a fully air-conditioned private car ride to the zona romantica. Many Mexican cabs don't have a/c. If you must take a cab from the airport,book it at the taxi booth (they have big sign that says TAXI) and not directly with the driver.
