Located in the historical town of Mineral de Pozos, Casa Montana offers well appointed suites and rooms, good and resonabley priced meals and friendly service in a picturesque setting. I first "discovered" Susan Montana's delightful inn over 2 years ago, and have been drawn back several times a year since. No matter if you prefer to simply sit on the lovely garden patio sipping Margarita's, or hike through the old mining ruins, or take a day trip to San Miguel, Queretaro or Guanajuato; Casa Montana is a Gem!

Staying at Casa Montana was a great experience. I love the quaint town and the friendly people. The hotel is charming, well maintained and the decor is exceptional. Susan Montana is a wonderful hostess, making sure everything is perfect, yet always having time to share a conversation and a cocktail. The staff all speak English and are young and congenial. Everyone seems to be having a good time there. There are lots of interesting places to explore and many short trips can be taken to see the ruins and towns nearby. All in all a good choice of hotel in this part of the world. The views are spectacular.. one can see for miles in these high desert plains.

This past August was my 3rd time staying at Casa Montana. I've stayed there with a friend, my husband and most recently with my daughter and husband. Each time I go it feels like I'm coming back home. All aspects of Casa Montana make this possible.

Susan Montana, the owner, lives on site and she is one of the most personable, helpful and fun people you will ever meet. Her staff, under her guidance, are absolutely the best. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and see that your needs are taken care of. If you need hot chocolate at 5 in the morning so that you can take off early, no problem. They are bilingual which helps considring my Spanish is still "coming along".

The rooms are spacious, charmingly decorated and comfortable. The food is terrific. I'm particularly hooked on their huevos oreganos for breakfast. The courtyard which is surrounded by the gorgeous rock walls of the hotel is a beautiful place to take your meals, drink margaritas and hang out with friends. It is definitely a special place in an enchanting town not to be missed.

A couple of years ago, my husband and I visited Mineral de Pozos, a mining ghost town in the high desert of Central Mexico. We loved wandering the ruins that tell the story of this forgotten little town. In the center of town we found a cozy and inviting little hotel/restaurant with a distinctive international flair. The suites are large and comfortable and the singles have a colorful Mexican style decor. The menu is excellent, offering traditional Mexican dishes as well as American comfort food. Susan Montana, the owner, and her friendly bilingual staff make your stay peaceful and relaxing. We go back every chance we get.

I loved it...My first visit to Mexico....the warm charming welcome I received from the staff and owner totally enhanced all the wonderful features of this Mexican hacienda type hotel. Each room has a delightful colorful decor that just sets the mood of the countryside. I never felt as if I were staying in a hotel....it was to me, like having my own private hacienda. I would truly recommend this hotel if you want to feel the true meaning of Mexican hospitality. Oh, I must mention the Margaritas and the food, especially the fresh guacamole dip made daily.... GUSTOSO!!...delicious.
