Been there in 99/ 01/02/03/04/05/06 and they always found us a room sometimes even the one we had the year before. Staff is excellent and always there for you, rooms are cleaned each and every day. I like the music that's in the restaurant area and food is good. Will be going back again this year in Dec. for the holidays.

This simple hotel has an excellent location at 5th Av. Rooms are clean and tidy and within a 1 minute walk you are at the beautiful beach. Terras with chairs and hammock.

Top Local Tips for Playa Del Carmen

Avoid driving in Playa Playa is a nightmare of one-way streets, crazy Mexican drivers, furious traffic, and limited parking. I've driven in Mexico many times, never a relaxing endeavor at best, but Playa takes the prize for worst city to drive. If you must drive, your best bet is to find a parking spot and grab a taxi. $2 US takes you across town. Want to drive to your hotel? The hotel zone is the 2 blocks closest to the beach, which appears closed. You CAN drive all the streets leading to the beach, just ignore the cones closing them off. And then hope for a parking spot.
