Excellent place to stay

We stayed at the Plaza Mariachi from Feb 27 thru to March 4. We had spent a week prior to that at the Moon Palace closer to Cancun, then ventured out to Playa to spend another week. We did not have reservations anywhere in Playa and simply walked around and found a hotel. This little gem is tucked away and we really stumbled upon it by accident. There is no huge signage and because the lobby is off 5th Ave, you don't really know it is there. Even though we viewed the room before we checked in, we did not realize the balcony overlooked 5th Ave. You could not ask for a better place to be! Normally we are people that like to stay near or on the beach, but the Mariachi was such a close walk to the beach and having the 5th Ave view, we did not really miss staying on the beach at all. The room we had was very spacious and cleaned daily, it also had a mini fridge and an additional sink and counter if you chose to wash yourself some fruit for snacking. We were very happy with the price, location, and the hotel itself with the pool courtyard, very nice. Would definitely stay here again!

where to buy your Tequila If you go to 5th Ave don't buy your Tequila there go to the grocery store 4 blocks down the street and get it there. The price difference is $12-15 at grocer and $60 on 5th.
