We booked per internet, got no confirmation, arrived in the evening and were greeted by a not very friendly lady who wouldn't give us a price for the room, it was groundfloor viewing an ugly part of the garden. At 8 a.m. a pneumatic hammer started in the neighbour garden and never stopped. Although announced there was no possibilty for breakfast in the hotel. When we left to find a more suitable hotel (we found a wonderful place nearby)the lady charged a price far too high for the unconveniences and no reduction for internetbooking as announced on the website

You cannot find a better price for what you get at Hotel Hul Ku. The staff is friendly. The scenery is surrounded by gardens, hammocks and fountains. The balconies are beautiful with views of the garden, pool area. You can walk to the beach and 5th ave, but it is far enough from the noise. The price also includes a free pass to an ecopark. The room is clean, with hot shower (hard to find in Playa, TV, balcony and comfortable beds. I felt very safe and well taken care of. There are rooms available with A/C, but A/C is not needed in Playa. It is rare to find establishments besides hotels with it. At night it cools down and shut your windows.
