| Midnight Express |

Remember the movie "Midnight Express", about the guy sent to the Turkish Prison. This is the place, looks just like it. The only difference, the service was better at the Turkish Prison! They strongly dislike Americans. The bartender would wait on everyone around the pool but us. This after I had to tell off the aledged "concierge" for trying to sell me a time share at their better hotel everytime I went up or down the stairs. Her pursuit was relentless, and she would not leave us alone when asked kindly. They advertised a suite with a kitchen, the kitchen consisted of a mini fridge, period. I paid extra for a roll-away bed, they didn't know what the hell a roll-away bed was, and refused a refund. They did provide other Hispanic guests with fold up cots, but never offered one to us, and denied having them when asked. The advertised a Continental breakfast with our room, and then tried to charge us extra for it. Stay away from this one! A totally miserable experience! |

| Horrible! |
|
Bait and Switch! We booked at an all inclusive for the Real Playa del Carmen, they were over booked and forced us to go to the Carmen Inn. It was horrible, no safety locks on the doors, terrible mold in the bathroom, cement blocks for shelvs, and plywood shelvs rather than a closet. It was smelly and the toilets did not work, hence the plunger outside our door. We booked through Hotwire and beware, they will not refund us our money even after this horrible stay and we checked out of this horrible hotel. |
