Our family stayed in the bungalows (like a duplex or condo). The facility and rooms were very clean and well-maintained. However, the mattresses seemed to be very old - definatley the least comfortable hotel mattress I've ever been on. Also, we really felt like we were on our own once we had the keys. The hotel staff speaks no english. If you run out of toilet paper, you can buy it from the hotel at a premium. If you stay in a bungalow, which has a stove and refrigerator, be sure to bring your own cooking equipment and utensils. The hotel will provide, at an additional cost. If we were to go to Oaxaca again, we would consider Villas Del Sol again. But, it helps to know that you need to bring your own water, toilet paper and cooking and eating utensils.
