Never in my life have I seen this

I had reserved the Emperor suite for two nights and all was well until the 2nd day when I had invited a few guests to join me in my suite to enjoy the room and outdoor jacuzzi for a few hours. Reception told me that I was not permitted guests in my room. I checked the rule book which stated very clearly that Management reserves the right to supervise guests in the rooms but NOTHING about guests not being allowed visitors. I spoke face to face to the receptionists and showed them the rules but was told that the hotel policy was firm in a 0 visitor policy. Had I known this from the beginning I NEVER would have reserved at this hotel. This news was totally unacceptable as I have traveled and lived in many countries and have stayed at hotels just as nice or nicer than this one without any problems pertaining to visitors in rooms. I was so infuriated that I checked out early. My long weekend plans were ruined becuase of this ridiculous policy that apparently the competing luxury hotels near by do not have. In the future if I ever choose to stay in another hotel in Monterrey, I will NOT choose the SAFI and I'll be sure to not recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of staying in the city!
