Arriving and departing The airport, which is about 20 miles away from downtown, takes about 30 minutes from wherever you are to it, but at rush hour it can take almost an hour. The toll highway (35 pesos, about 3USD) is recommended only when there is a lot of traffic. Cab prices vary around 20~30 USD to get anywhere. First you have to buy the taxi ticket at the cab counter inside the airport, and then you gotta make the line outside. There are several cab companies but the service and prices are very similar, so don't mind which one to take. The Sky Bus is an independent bus service that transports people from the airport to a bus terminal in Valle Oriente, less than a mile away from the mall of the same name, near San Pedro. The bus ticket is 95 pesos (about 9 USD). The bus leaves from the airport at the hour (7am, 8am, 9am, ...) and from the bus terminal at half past (7:30am, 8:30am, 9:30am, ...), starting at 4:30am until 11:30pm.
