I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. The price is very high for such poor quality service. Beware of hidden charges! There are much nicer hotels in the area at comparable prices.

National Museum of Anthropology This is one of the great museums of the world. If you can, devote 2 days to it. Be sure to see the 2nd floor, which many tourists miss. There you will find modern day information about the many cultures of Mexico. Also, the museum restaurant has a nice buffet lunch.

A World-Class Metropolis! Mexico City is at once infuriating, charming, magical, and inexhaustible. It's traffic and air polution are its biggest headaches, compounded by the altitude. A very large percentage of Mexicans leave the City for the holiday. As a result, the streets, museums, hotels and restaurants are uncrowded. The air partially clears up, the magnificent Jacaranda trees are in full bloom, and the locals who remain are in a better mood! Go for the contrast between Colonial and Modern Architecture, for the sophisticated restaurants, to shop for silver jewelery and an endless variety of crafts.

Plaza of the Mariachis Visit Plaza Garibaldi where colorful mariachi bands gather in the late afternoon to seek work and to play for tourists. Grab a bite to eat in the adjacent market; lots of tasty inexpensive down home Mexican food in several colorful restaurants.
