Top Local Tips for Mexico City

Tips 30 - 40 minutes from airport. Hotel is located the Gay district. Was safe to walk around after dark. Access to Metro.

Bullfight Most people in Mexico tell you that you need take the "ligero train" to get to the Bullfight and some people tells you that they don't even know! We found out that you can get in the train # 7 direction to Barranca and get off on San Antonio Station. Then you can walk to the Plaza.

IN CASE OF DOUBT TAKE THE METRO! The Metro is a cheap and wonderful way to get anywhere in DF. You can go to places as far and diverse as Xochimilco and the Dolores Olmedo Museum (recommended!!!) , Frida Kahlo's house, Trotsky house, Azteca Stadium, Zocalo (Cathedral, Palacio Nacional; Bellas Artes Museum). Mexico DF is as wonderful as it can be. There are lots of art Museums and also there's the incredible Anthropology Museum that you can't miss. All with the Metro. Always watch out for your belongings, don't take big purses or jewels and plan your Metro trip in advance. You can get a lot of help at these small cabins that the government place next to the Cathedral. They will give you a lot of info and maps. Just be careful and enjoy Mexico City, it's wonderful!!!
