Great looking, some very poor customer service
The hotel is striking architecturally, and the present management are to be complimented on the way they have kept the space's integrity while including modern touches, like the lighting and water bar.
I stayed for over 3 months while working In Mexico City, and the rooms are fine.
What I really didn't appreciate was the terrible attitude of the management.
There was a lamp in my room - nothing that fancy. You might expect to pay $50 in IKEA for something similar. I went to adjust it one day, and the whole top of the lamp came off in my hand. Metal fatigue - the lamps was pretty old, had clearly been fixed many times, tape on the power cord etc. And the b*stards charged me for it! Despite my patiently trying to explain the concepts of wear-and-tear and metal fatigue, and pointing out that the part that had come off had clearly been glued back on before, they just weren't interested.
