I am writing about this hotel mainly as it was recommended to me by tourist information in Merida bus station. I can't imagine why. Some hotels promote themselves at the bus station with special deals, but in this case the tourist information office actually recommended the hotel. It could be a nice hotel, but sadly it isn't. It's cheap, but only a block away is the slightly more expensive and infinitely better Posada Toledo. The Pink Flamingo is old, run down and dirty. The worst thing is that the rooms all smell old, damp and musty. A free continental breakfast is included. It's a shame as this hotel could be nice. It is set around a courtyard and has a swimming pool. The lady who runs the hotel is very nice and friendly. Apparently, they offer free internet access too. Only use this hotel if you really can't stretch a few dollars more for somewhere a lot better.
