Although the facility was basically clean, it was in dire need of repair and maintenance. Bed springs hurt, pool freezing cold, kitchen hot plate mangled, towels were scarce. On the upside the staff were quite pleasant and the food in the Minnesota cafe very good.

I have been going to Mazatlan since 1979.After that year all my stays have been at the Solamar Inn, they have the nicest people working there, good food, lovely pool and all upgraded rooms which they keep very clean. I get fast response to all my emails and the rooms are so economical. This year I am going to stay for a month, March of 2007 now that I am retired and looking forward to every minute. One of the main reasons I like Solamar Inn is because most other occuoents are Mexican Nationals and there nice to be around.
