Top Local Tips for Mazatlan
El Cid Granada My boyfriend and I stayed at the El Cid Granda from March 28th, 2006 - April 4th, 2006. It was a really cheap vacation, and it was the first time we had been away together so we thought it would be perfect. The food was decent but nothing to write home about. The nightly entertainment needed to be bumped up a notch, but the endless nights of drunk 18 year old girls getting up on stage and taking over were hilarious. The bar at the Granada closed at 2:00pm, which sucked, but you could walk across the street to the other El Cid hotel and get your drinks in "to go" cups. This was actually ok, because the pool on our side was way nicer and quieter. We ate out at a couple different restaurants, and had no problems outside of our hotel. We loved the shopping and the seafod, and would love to go back to Mazatlan. It was the perfect place for young couples who like a bit of both worlds - the markets and kind people and culture, and a relaxing hotel!
Mary's Simple, quaint, little outdoor cafe with excellent food, service, prices & people. Not an upscale place but rather homey & comfy.
