Horrible Experience
It was not the resort itself that I had an issue with, but the timeshare presentation. I was promised a 90 minute, no obligation time share presentation. What we received was a three hour, high stress psychological assault, full of verbal promises that somehow did not make it into the contract. Worst of all, when we had a chance to go over the contract, we became suspicious that alot of the things we were promised were not included. Therefore, we attempted to cancel within hours of signing the contracts and the staff of El Cid told us that we would have to give up our $5,845 deposit. We backed off because we could not afford to lose that kind of money. Before visiting this resort know your rights: you have 5 days to cancel your agreement, with NO financial obligation. Visit the local Profeco office if you have any trouble, they are meant to protect you. Also, make sure that you have physical proof of your cancellation.

All the staff are great!
The rooms are large and very clean. The staff will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is awesome. The restaurants are great and the two swimming pools are fab!
