| We have been staying at the Belmar since 2001. Sometimes twice a year.I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Yes, the hotel has a few undesirable things such as wiggling fans, old electrical sockets in some rooms, and an occasional frayed towel. If you are a picky traveler, expect to have coffee and blow dryers in the room, this is not the place for you. The rooms are clean, daily maid service, really friendly staff. If you need something they don't have they can probably get it for you.In the past we have our favorite room with a balcony overlooking the water for about 30.00 dollars, for tha past few years we have been staying in one of the few suites with a large sitting room, small kitchen like area, (no stove) separate large bedroom and a large marble bath. It's great! The balcony with suite is huge, near 30-40 feet long. The view is wonderful. You can see for a long stretch up and down the beach, watch all the people out at night on the melacon. It's like having front row seats at a grand production. Sunsets you see photos of in the tourist books. The suites are only about 45.00 dollars. In the past when we would have a regular 2 double bed room,( they don't come with a frig)all we have to do is just ask Nicholos, he can get you anything I would think. WE LOVE THE BELMAR...Just like Home to us. Again, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. We missed our trip at New Years this year. Looking forward to our soon trip in June. The kids will not be going with us this time, but if you have kids this is a great place for all. Have fun if you go. |
