Fun and affordable
We have been staying at the Belmar since 2001. Sometimes twice a year.I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Yes, the hotel has a few undesirable things such as wiggling fans, old electrical sockets in some rooms, and an occasional frayed towel. If you are a picky traveler,expect to have coffee and blow dryers in the room, this is not the place for you. The rooms are clean, daily maid service, really friendly staff. If you need something they don't have they can probably get it for you.In the past we have our favorite room with a balcony overlooking the water for about 30.00 dollars, for tha past few years we have been staying in one of the few suites with a large sitting room, small kitchen like area, (no stove) separate large bedroom and a large marble bath. It's great! The balcony with suite is huge, near 30-40 feet long. The view is wonderful. You can see for a long stretch up and down the beach, watch all the people out at night on the melacon.
