We spent a single night in Los Mochis in the Hotel Taj Mahal and hope that nobody else would do the same mistake! We arrived at about 10 pm, 12th August 2007, in a rainy night.
As we entered the room, we discovered that there was lot of water on the floor because of the rain... As we entered the bathroom, we found a very dirty floor around the WC and sand in the shower. As we tried to take a shower there was no warm water. The bellboy said that it was raining and he could not ignite the heater. The promised air conditioning was a very old, loud and half-broken machine.
Last but not least... as we tried to go sleep we found out that our beds have been already used with many hairs and dirty spots on the bed sheets.
We changed the room, of course, with the bellboy asking if the hairs couldn't be ours,,,
Unfortunately it was too late in the night (and we had a very early wake up in the morning to take the Chepe train) to find another hotel.
