I think the greatest testament to the Hotel Spa Ixtapan is that most of the guest are repeat visitors, some of whom have been coming for 30 years! This isn't well known in the US, but for the price of a one week stay at a US spa one can stay here for a month - complete with all food (choice of spa meals or regular dining), exercise classes, and daily massages, facials, hair treatments, you name it! It's an incredible deal and the staff will go out of their way to insure that guests are happy. Another testament is all the smiles you see on the faces of women in the spa. It's just a great deal, and a great way to lose weight.

cool bookstore There´s a very cool bookstore on the street leading up to the main church in town. It´s called Librería Amoxcalli and they have a wide selection of Spanish books as well as some English titles. Quite a few regional books, some gifts. It´s very unexpected in a town this size, a great find

The Spa and the Doctor There is a doctor on staff in case you need to see one. He is also an accupuncturist. I think his treatments helped me; he had good ideas abiout my health and options.
