Top Local Tips for Ixtapa Zihuatanejo
Don't miss the GREAT little - family owned - restaurants Ask around for restauant recommendations. We found several in Centro and more around Playa Madera - and didn't even scratch the surface. Here's a few we enjoyed: Piazza Angelo's ( Best Italian food I've had in years- pasta carbonara and pasta with lobster sauce - good pizza too), El Sanka Grill (fabulous whole roasted Red Snapper), Coconuts ( had excellent coonut shrimp), Serena Gorda(Fat Mermaid) ( best shrimp ceviche), Ruffo's ( fresh fish grilled on wood was wonderful), Casa Cafe ( world class coffee and very good breakfasts)

Pay extra for the oceanfront rooms , they are worth it. It was well kept and manicured.
No complaints - I would go back anytime.
