The water at Play Linda on the ocean side was too rough for young people or older couples. Parking in centro is difficult so it is better to walk or go by local bus or taxi. The taxi in town was 2.00 US. Bring plenty of sun tan lotion and a good hat. Sandels for the beach are a must. By mid day the sand will burn your feet. All the restaurants at the beaches will offer shaded areas to eat or est as long as you buy something. The beach vendors were very regular folks. If you said no and did it with respect they just went on. Several had little trinkets that were so cheap and pretty we bought them just to help the folks.

Less than $1US, on the main walk on Playa Municipal, great collection of early civilization, local history, etc. All signs were in Spanish, the place was slow so we paid a staff member 20 pesos to guide us through. Not only did this open a world of understanding about the cultures of Mexico, but we made a friend who gave useful tips on what to see, do and experience.......Las Gatos Beach: short and inexpensive boat ride from the municipal pier (remember return trip times and do not lose your return ticket), good snorkeling, tasty treats, festive but tame atmosphere, and don't forget to ask about the path to the lighthouse. Pay the landowner a few pesos to hike on his path and through the jungle in 15 minutes takes you to a gate. Go through (close it behind you) and yell out "HOLA" every minute or so until the lighthouse attendant responds (awesome view and experience)
