It is at the most Northern part of the island, with terrific views. Not only that, but it is located next to a reef that is buzzing with underwater excitement. Being an enthusiast of snorkeling myself, I was amazed at how established the reef is when the water is only up to your chest! The beaches are coming back!! Most of you might know that cancun and isla mujeres suffered severe damage from the hurricane about 2-3 years ago. They have been working hard to get the beach back to its orginal condition. The beaches are still walkable, and although not as extensive and sprawling as Aruba or Dominican, it is just enough to get around to where you want to go. It was our first time here on the island. Car Shuttle and Ferry Service We recommend Best Day for the shuttle from the Cancun airport to the ferry terminal. $34 roundtrip/pp, 25 minute ride. We also suggest the UltraMar Ferry to get from Cancun to Isla Mujeres, $12 roundtrip/pp, 20 minute ride. Both are professional and reliable. Once you get on the island, taxis are very cheap, we used them every day. Definitely rent a golf cart for the day - worth it!
