There are dozens of red taxis on the island and it's worth the $5 or less it will cost to get you and your luggage to your hotel. Don't use the guys on the bicycle luggage carriers. They cost just as much and you have to walk alongside in the hot, muggy weather. The taxis we took were all air conditioned!
