Top Local Tips for Cozumel
An underwater photographer's playground Don't forget to bring a waterproof camera. The reefs of Cozumel are vibrant with color and sea life and the scuba diving is some of the best in the world. Even a small point & shoot would do the job. Most new cameras have an underwater scene mode that works pretty well for the beginner. You'll take home memories that you'll want to re-live over and over again.
Spend a day putting around If you have an extra afternoon before you leave, rent a scooter at "Smart". It'll take about 4 hrs to go around the island, stop for a beer at the South Point (Rasta Bar) tourista place on the beach, and make it back to town. Well worth the $55 to spend the day exploring. Also, the best prices for T's, jackets, etc are actually in the Scuba retail shop across the street. It's even cheaper than haggling at the market.
Dive & History Diving in Cozumel in March you should get a towel and jacket to the boat. You may feel chilly after dives, because of the wind. Try as much as you can to stay away from teenage spring-breakers!!!!!!!!!! This can be easier if you go downtown after cruise ships leave the island (4-6 PM). In the day you’re not diving, don’t miss San Gervasio archeological site. It is a good example of antique Mayan village.

I was very impressed with the people and service at Scuba Club. Especially when you take into consideration that some of these people are performing difficult tasks 24/7. WOW. Good job!
