There are cheaper or better places so find somewhere else.

There are both much cheaper places and much nicer places for about the same money so why stay here? We booked this hotel through a travel site. When we checked in we were tired and ready for bed. It turns out most of the rooms are within open earshot of the bar. There was loud music playing until 11:30 even though the hotel policy was quiet hours after 10. The music was so loud that I couldn't hear the TV in our room even though it was cranked. The toilet plugged on the first use. When we complained to the manager he seemed nice and said we could check out the next day and he would only charge us for one day. We worked this out with the travel site which said this was OK and we didn't need anything from the manager. They said they would get a fax from him. It took a month of pestering for the travel site to finally squeeze the fax out of the hotel manager. We found a much better hotel for the rest of the trip that only cost about $10 more and it was on the beach! There are much better places to stay than this, don't waste your money.

Give reef time to recover Wilma and maybe increased cruise activity have resulted in dead coral reefs. Since my last visit 20 years ago, the deterioration of the reefs was saddening.

safe haven My last trip thru mexico was 4000 miles and i really got to relize the value of staying at the flamingo after i expierenced some of the other hotels in my travels.
