Hacienda Chichen Hotel Chichen Itza

We booked this Hacienda to enjoy visits to Chichen Itza and birding, but we found out this hotel property is a unique Green Retreat and a Nature Reserve. The hotel has one of the best lush gardens we ever have seen, birds everywhere, all day! Flora and fauna are cared with great respect. They call it Sustainable Tourism and we call it a sanctuary much like paradise should be. Great food, excellent friendly service, romantic dinners under the stars (lots of them!) soft guitar music, gourmet food (try their Maya Chaya Soup), fresh tropical fruits right from their own organic gardens, good wine and expresso !! Our room was painted off-white with off-white bedspreads and colorful embroidered decor pillows that made the ambiance look charming, very clean and truly what you will expect a Mexican home cottage will look like. Amazingly beautiful, lush jungle gardens with hundred of birds to enjoy. Excellent service, great pool, charming room, fantastic food, romantic nights, perfect location near Mayan temples yet away from crowd tour bus groups. Best Spa experience ever! Want to relax, explore nature, Enjoy gourmet meals and pampering service. This is the place to be.

Our favority Boutique Hacienda in Yucatan. The hotel's staff is friendly, service excellent, ambiance romantic, a real jewel for those wishing to enjoy the Maya Ruins of Chichen Itza while staying in a jungle like paradise. Lots of colorful birds, lush tropical setting, and a great holistic Mayan Spa where we enjoy the Ya ha Maya Ceremony for couples. For sure we will return here! Our friends got married at the Hacienda Chichen's Colonial Chapel, we hope to do the same next year.

I stayed at the relaxing and beautiful Hacienda Chichen recently for a long weekend. I was absolutely amazed by the natural beauty of the surrounding gardens and the many birds. I really enjoyed being able to go to the ruins of Chichen Itza, which are in walking distance, and then return to the Hacienda to take a refreshing dip in the pool. I enjoyed a birdwatching tour early in the morning with a certified guide who knew all the common and Maya names of the local birds and flora. I enjoyed the cozy rooms and great restaurant service. I will definitley be returning!
