GREAT PLACE!!

My husband and I are heading to Cancun in April for our 3rd time. We have stayed at the Westin each time and LOVED it. The staff is great, the beach and pools are wonderful and the beds are indeed "heavenly". Each year I think has been better than the one before - the first year our air conditioning didn't work very well. It is nice because it is away from the crowds (for those of us that like the peaceful, quiet of relaxing on the beach. We have never been approached by a time-share person (hope this doesn't open us up to that)- last year we even had email contact with someone at the hotel before we got there. That was great.

This hotel is amazing. Awesome, friendly workers. Me and my best friend went for first time in July 2003, we went again Dec. 2003 and are going back to same hotel in July 2004. The people are really friendly, food is good. Awesome.

Tulum Trip If this is your first trip to a ruin site it is ok otherwise not very impressive.

Kantun-Chi & Akumal for snorkeling in Cancun This ecopark is home to several cenotes as well as an amazing underground cavern that you can swim and snorkel through. Located about an hour drive from cancun, this was a great local experience that I would recommend to active travellers. Also, the snorkeling in Akumal's Yalku Lagoon was amazing. About an hour and a half from Cancun, it's definitely worth the stop if you're headed to Tulum.

It's fast and convient It's only $6.5 MEP or about $.65 USD
