Great Service & Staff

It was a very relaxing hotel, with wonderful staff, great food, creative entertainment, and great service. Please,help me with this. There is a member of the entertainment staff and I need to know his name. He has black hair, about shoulder length. He usually ties it up and when it's up, it's approx. 1 inch long. Thank you for your suppotive help. This was the best vacation for me so far.

Marvelous time

I went the day after Christmas til New Year's Day. I had the most magnificent time! The hotel staff was wonderful of course, very entertaining, accommodating and pleasant. The food was expansive and tasty, the drinks were good and got you drunk if that was the aim and the grounds were beautiful. We did a couple excursions, going to Xel-Ha was a smart choice and we went snorkeling somewhere else but unfortunately I don't remember the name. The beds are hard, but it bothered us none and if it were to bother you, there are cushions you can request. My only regret was not making myself aware of everything that was offered right away, such as the pool and beach games which were a blast once we played and the nightly entertainment shows. Also there is a solarium I never went to on the 6th floor, which would have been nice for some days since we did lose the sun behind the building at about 3pm. Wina, maybe the person you are talking about is Winnie. I have been looking for him online.. My yahoo id is Sunnyhoney420. I recommend this resort for everyone! If you can't enjoy yourself there, there's something wrong with you.

Amazing vacation

Just returned from Riu Cancun today... This was my fourth trip to Cancun first to Riu, let me tell you all it was an AMAZING VACATION!! The hotel, the staff, the food, the activities, the night life, did I forget anything?! I would turn around and go back tonight... I have never had such wonderful service as I did at the Riu. The only issue I have is that I only stayed a week... I could have stayed much longer! It feels like a home away from home... Do the Dolphin Swim... Greatest experience you will ever have!!

As honeymooners on entering the Riu, we were just blown away by the beauty of this hotel,as I write this review the memories are so fresh in my mind. The friendliness,kindness, and the willingness to make your holiday one you'll never forget. We can't talk highly enough about this hotel. We both can't wait to stay again. 10/10.

I loved this holiday! It was the best I've ever been on! The staff were brilliant giving you everything you asked for all the time. I miss all of the entertainment staff sooooo much: tania,winnie,victor,tony,ilhui,paty,patricia & froggy! I hope i can go back soon! I love it so much. I recommend this hotel to anybody! You've got to go!

Slip and fall and still love it

This was the fourth time we have stayed at the Riu Cancun Hotel since they opened. Everything was the same as if it was our first time. The staff was great, the food was great, the hotel was great. Unfortunately my wife slipped in the room and broke the steel plate in her leg. We have been home now for a month and her operation went well. We hope to return to the hotel next year.

Very Good Hotel

We all had a great time! We loved the size of the hotel, not too small, not too big. Did not have to walk your legs off to get from your room to the pool or restaurants. The Japanese restaurant is FABULOUS but make reservations early! The staff there bent over backwards to please us! The only thing I can think to complain about is that they do not have coffee makers in the rooms. Oh yeah, and the rude English lady who tried to reserve the beach chairs (with only her towels) for 2 hours and then lectured us on how rude we were when we finally got tired of waiting for her to show up. The hotel brochure tells you that you cannot hold the beach chairs unless you are sitting in them! We enjoyed everyone else we met there! Would definitely stay there again!

I wouldn't go anywhere else

If I could go anywhere I wanted tommorow it would be the RIU Cancun. It will be our forth time there this Sept in five years and we cant wait. Show me any other hotel in the world where quite a few members of staff will recognise you on your next visit nine months later and I'll actually give it a go. Having made really good friends there it feels more like home every time. The food is excellent, the service 5*, swim up bar in the pool, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The rooms have the all important luxury of a beer fridge and optics and the maid may even make swans or even elephants out of towels for you. Even if it's your first time, you will be welcomed like you have been there every year for decades.

Trip of a life time!

My best friend and I went for one week for our once in a lifetime vacation. We couldn't have picked a better resort. Everything was first class. The staff were super friendly, the food was delicious and there was a wide variety to chose from. The swim up bar a lot of fun and we met lots of interesting and friendly people. The hotel is clean and beautiful and is within walking distance, or, a short bus ride to everything you need. We had such a good time that as it turns out it is just the first trip we plan to make to the Riu Cancun, so there will be many more trips of a lifetime.
