November 8, 2008, myself and two friends had 3 cell phones, 2 digital cameras, and a portable dvd player the day we checked in. The room was locked and we were gone for 2 hours because we were eating dinner in the hotel restaurant and when we returned our belongings were gone. We put our money and passports in the lock box that we purchased at check in otherwise I'm sure that would have been gone also. When we asked for help from the hotel, we received extremely poor service. They would not let us use their office phone to call our families to ask them to cancel our cell phone plans and they wouldn't even give us the name of the manager of the hotel. They tried to refuse us a hotel report and refused us a copy of the report once they finally gave it to us. The staff will steal your items of value if you go to this hotel. I post this story to warn others and hope that you do not go through the same experience. We are still battling for a refund our some sort of compensation. They laughed in our faces when we asked them for help in resolving this situation.

Awful trip

Food was terrible. Condiments & Dressings were diluted with water. Liquior was diluted with water. Can not get anything to eat after 10:00 pm. Bars closed at 12:00 midnight. Rooms had no amenities. Room had bugs. Room smelled of mildew. Room was dark, dirty and old. Hotel flooded with water when it rains. There were two elevators and one was not working. Staff was not accommodating. Staff was rude. If this hotel/resort was located in the US, it would be shut down. If you plan to stay in this hotel, please get your money back before it's too late.

Great Stay, will definitely return

This is a great hotel for a minimal price. I found the food excellent at the al carte restaurants and even the buffets. We encountered a problem with our A/C and they fixed it within a short time of our call. The staff was terrific. I overheard some guests yelling at the staff and realized that they deserved a bad response. I treated the staff with respect and kindness and received the same in return. Guests in Mexico need to remember this is not the US. Things move at a slower pace and the people are always friendly when treated right. Go and have a good time!

Birthday Nightmare/Disaster

This is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. I felt like I was on an episode of Punked!! My room was so depressing. It smells like all the garbage in the world. The sheets were dirty and stink as well as the bed spread so I kicked it on the floor. The air does not work and the vent has mold and mildew surrounding it, no telling what's inside. There are no pictures on the walls, no lamps, no alarm clock, no hair dryer and if you ask for bath towels they bring you blue towels that are handed out for the beach. My bathroom sinks and tub was clogged. There was a flood in the hallway coming from another room that flooded into my room and it took about 45 minutes for someone to come clean it. I had a nice trip minus this hotel. PLEASE I AM BEGGING DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HOTEL!!!! If I ever visit again I will not stay here. This hotel is for the younger kids who like partying all day. They overcrowd the bars and especially along the pools. They throw the little plastic cups in the pool, and not to mention the poolside bars smell like vomit. I was not accomodated like a hotel should do. They would not change my room b/c per them they didn't have anymore. I stayed away from the room as much as possible and tried my best to not touch anything in the bathroom b/c the room just felt filthy. (I should have showered outside at the rinse off showers) The food is horrible and you are only served bottom shelf alcohol even though it's all inclusive. I can go on for days but this is just a summary of what this hotel is like!!

I went with 6 of my friends in our mid 20's , first-off nobody speaks any english and when we weren't happy with our room it took about an hour for them to change it. There were lizards running around the rooms and cockroaches, the water smelled of sulfur. If you want to have a relaxing vacation with your family don't stay here. It is definitly for younger kids in high-school that just want to drink excessively all day long. The food was probably the worst of all, 4 out of the 6 of us got sick from the food and needed medicine. We actually walked to McDonalds each day. Bring 200$$ in singles because everyone expects a tip there or else you will be ignored at the bars and restaurants. The best part was the boat rides and wave runners, basically everything that was off the resort was great! Night Life was also really good. Drinks were hard to get because they put them in small plastic cups. Don't jump in the ocean! It's not safe. Don't drink the water, use listerine or bottled water for brushing teeth! The air-conditioning also leaked all night and 4 of the rooms on our floor flooded all over the hallway. Theres only 2 small tiny elevators that hardly work so bring comfortable shoes for stairs, we were on the 6th floor. The only thing to eat during the day are burgers and hot-dogs and the meat was definitely not real, we talked to a local and they said it was probably rat burgers cuz there cheap to make and think about it, I woke up several times a night from kids kicking doors and screaming and getting sick literally outside our room and it takes a while for things to get cleaned up. Hide your money maybe in a shoe or behind the dresser because you don't want a maid stealing them. She moved all of my things around in the bathroom, I don't know why. The pool is not even relaxing, it's hotter than the air and the pool bars are so packed you can't even get your small drink. Dont stay here, maybe go to Cancun, (the water is beautiful) but don't waste your money on this hotel!

Horrible

After reading the reviews our trip was already booked. We said hell with it we love to party so we will be fine. Well, we had water problems in the room making it difficult to shower, also flooded our room. No one speaks english is made it hard to do anything or get help. Bugs were not only in the room but in the beds as well. Also, the secruity guards are rude!!! The pool was our best enjoyment all week until someone pooped in it, yes thats right human poop floating in the pool!!!!!! The people at the front desk are NO HELPPPPPP!!!!... save your money stay somewhere else.

Arriving to Cancun in the airport the bus pick me on time(olympus),the people was very nice ,the food very good,i went to grand oasis(black bracelet).the trick(if you arrive before 3 oclock.get the bracelet and go to eat and come back after 3 oclock and you get your room keys ease).best buffet "ibiza".they have great shows in the night.and the best foam party(thursday)in the club(up and down).my a/c worked good.i had the ocean garden view(ocean front),the pool no problem,i went to the pool at 3:00am and no problem you can take the shower at the pool at any time.and they have the sport bar(close at 6:00am)you get snack(hamburgers,etc...)The only problem was tv remote control(not working),the smell of the area, me and my family had a lot of fun.I come back...we have smile all over the hotel..

This hotel was the worst hotel anyone could ever stay at period, as i was reading the other reviews it is very true about the pool bar and the snack hut that has burgers and fries etc shut down every day at 5:30! The food wasn't good at any of the areas avalible to eat at. No one barley understood english to help me with any issues i had. Our room had cockroaches it was disgusting! The sliding door didn't lock so anyone could come in your room from the outside. There are no doors to the lobby of this hotel so any one and anything has free access to do what they want. I didnt see one cop or one security gaurd. If you want actual alcohol in your drinks you have to tip the bartenders each time you get a drink or they make them week. I wanted to save money in booking a lower rated hotel figuring im on vacation i'll never be in the room. Well when we were in the room and wantd to go to bed we had to suffer with the heat the smell and the dirty roaches ALSO other than a pool and the beach there was NO ENTERTAINMENT. We had to pay 6 bucks eachway in a half ass buss to get to the actual "dowtown cancun" clubs were 20-40 bucks to get into. For your own good and to enjoy a vacation i would never even think twice of saying NO to this hotel. You do need to pay the extra loot to have a descent place to stay at. I was on vacation away from work and bills and everyday life and i was counting down the days to come home!

Disappointing!!!

This was a graduation present for my 3 kids.. As a single parentthat saved for this for a long time I was extremely disappointed at the bad service, no air conditioning for the week we were there. TV kept turning off, room phone did not work. Air was a big problem with a kid with asthma but hotel did not care and would not move us, they kept saying all the rooms had no air that week.

Very BAD!

Once we got to the hotel from the airport, we had to wait an hour before the room was ready. The room smelled gross and the sheets as if they were washed in pure urine. I woke up in the middle of the night to find cockroaches in my room, not to mention in the hallways a few days later. The air condition barley worked and the remote to the TV only worked when it wanted to. The food wasn't good at all, I had the all-inclusive and my boyfriend and I went out to eat at actual places and spent money rather than eat there. The beach and the pool was great and Cancun was great I would never go to this hotel again, we couldn't wait to be home!!! Go to Cancun but DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!
