This hotel was the worst hotel anyone could ever stay at period, as i was reading the other reviews it is very true about the pool bar and the snack hut that has burgers and fries etc shut down every day at 5:30! The food wasn't good at any of the areas avalible to eat at. No one barley understood english to help me with any issues i had. Our room had cockroaches it was disgusting! The sliding door didn't lock so anyone could come in your room from the outside. There are no doors to the lobby of this hotel so any one and anything has free access to do what they want. I didnt see one cop or one security gaurd. If you want actual alcohol in your drinks you have to tip the bartenders each time you get a drink or they make them week. I wanted to save money in booking a lower rated hotel figuring im on vacation i'll never be in the room. Well when we were in the room and wantd to go to bed we had to suffer with the heat the smell and the dirty roaches ALSO other than a pool and the beach there was NO ENTERTAINMENT. We had to pay 6 bucks eachway in a half ass buss to get to the actual "dowtown cancun" clubs were 20-40 bucks to get into. For your own good and to enjoy a vacation i would never even think twice of saying NO to this hotel. You do need to pay the extra loot to have a descent place to stay at. I was on vacation away from work and bills and everyday life and i was counting down the days to come home!

Once we got to the hotel from the airport, we had to wait an hour before the room was ready. The room smelled gross and the sheets as if they were washed in pure urine. I woke up in the middle of the night to find cockroaches in my room, not to mention in the hallways a few days later. The air condition barley worked and the remote to the TV only worked when it wanted to. The food wasn't good at all, I had the all-inclusive and my boyfriend and I went out to eat at actual places and spent money rather than eat there. The beach and the pool was great and Cancun was great I would never go to this hotel again, we couldn't wait to be home!!! Go to Cancun but DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!

This was a graduation present for my 3 kids.. As a single parentthat saved for this for a long time I was extremely disappointed at the bad service, no air conditioning for the week we were there. TV kept turning off, room phone did not work. Air was a big problem with a kid with asthma but hotel did not care and would not move us, they kept saying all the rooms had no air that week.

The beach & grounds were absolutely beautiful. We always had friendly waiters in the buffet and in the sit down restaurants, the food was very, very good and plentiful. The bad part was the hotel itself. The sewer smell in the hallways was overpowering and there was leaking water everywhere, you had to walk carefully not to slip and fall. The pool bar and pool closed down at 5:30...and there was absolutely nothing to do in the hotel at night. People are on vacation and want to have a good time, how can you shut down the pool at 5:30?!!!! The bars in the hotel played no music and there was no "party" atmosphere whatsoever. All in all, I think this is a good place to stay for people with little kids or older couples, but not for young party lovers at all.

Mexicans very friendly, and the beach is beautiful....but
First room: bathroom was flooded, the power tripped to the room if you had the air con on, the TV didn't work. Place stinks.
Upgraded to a room in the "Grand" Oasis - means bed side lamps (one even worked!), a picture on the wall and ahair drier. That room leaked from patio door, ceiling and in the front door from flooded corridor. Clothes all damp in the wardrobe. Very basic- not very Grand. Give it a miss.

The service and staff suck! There was a Cockroach that came out of the food in the buffet. Our door did not lock! Room smelled horrible! Do NOT stay here!!

FIrst time ever goin to Cancun, great place to have a good time and meet great people and beautiful women. The beach was awesome! The DJ's at the DJ booth were more then accomodating to play our music. The nightlife around the area is pretty wild!!! If you are here 2 bring a family THINK TWICE!! This is a party hotel where gettin drunk, high & laid fits the bill well.

After reading all the miserable reviews about the Oasis Cancun, I was pleasantly surprised upon my arrival. We were greeted by a wonderful bellman by the name of Alonzo. The front desk staff hooked us right up! No waiting...by the time I knew it I was relaxing pool side enjoying the beautiful views and being catered by our wonderful bartender Israel.
The food was fine, not gourmet, but very decent. Nice to have all the different food choices on site. It was quite and no rowdy parties in our area of the Oasis. However, there was alot of young people, just having a great time. No problems, everyone was very respectful. This place is clean, the night club very entertaining. I would highly recommend the Oasis for any budget seeking traveler!

This is the worst place in the world to stay. Welcome to hotel hell. Food sucked a/c didn't work it smelled like mould and it was nasty. Not to mention it took 2 hours to check in. Then we had to switch rooms 3 times. This is the worst place ever. I feel like I was raped. Don't waste your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hotel had by far the worst service ever. I was there on spring break. Check in took over 2 hours. All the guests were treated like cattle. These people don't know the meaning of curteous service. Hotel is hot as hell cause the AC doesnt go below 80 degrees. Security is like some whacked out corrupt police force. Hotel caught fire while I was there! This place sucks, go to Hawaii instead

Top Local Tips for Cancun
Market 28--a no go! Stay away from Market 28--the largest outdoor flea market. A little questionable with safety and somewhat difficult to find and then return home to your hotel.
The Bus is Easy and Cheap The bus is only like 66 cents one way and goes everywhere. Everything is in a straight line. I think it runs 24/7 too. So save yourself money on a shuttle and just take the bus to your hotel.
Spring break March is the month for spring breakers. I have been there... done that... so not interested in seeing it again. Many from my hotel were moved from other Oasis hotels to get away from the kids. They were very glad to do so as sounds like it was just too much at other resorts. If you think as I do go to an adults club like this and you will get away from the kids and have adults to party with. We went to Senior Frogs but it was the same so many spring breakers. One night out that everyone liked was the shows at Coco Bongo. Never went but all the people who went liked it. Almost like a small Vegas act I was told by several.
