Overall less than average stay made worse by TV charge scam. First of all, service is poor - check-in took close to 20 minutes, staff not helpful - never felt like I was getting a complete answer to any question or concern I had - I'm a native Spanish speaker, so language was not to blame.
While checking out, I noticed two "on-demand" TV charges to my room - each for close to $28 USD each. I had no idea the rooms even had a pay-per-view TV system. When I told them that I didn't order any movies, they produced a massive continuous receipt that showed all 'on-demand" orders for all rooms for that month. I could see a "time-elapsed" line on each of the itemized orders - most showing only few seconds of viewing time. The hotel claims an outside service is responsible for the charges and that even if you order by mistake, you are still responsible for the charges. Thing is, I know how to use a TV remote very well, and I know I didn't order a movie!
At lease three others......

OK this is from a kids point of view. I loved this hotel. The pool was great and the ocan good too. (I loved diving for shells) THis is great walking distance of everything. The City, CoCO bongo, The rain forest cafe, the shoping, and a short bus ride to La Isla and stuff. I loved this hotel and could not ask for anything more.

Their hotel is only at 1/4 capacity right now because of the hurricane. Our phone didn't work, the shower tub didn't drain! You'll be lucky if you receive room service within 2 hours. Went to the restaurant and we brought our own drinks with us and they wanted to charge us for the drinks that we bought and brought to the restaurant. It literally took us about a half hour to settle the issue with the hotel manager. They nickel and dime you to death. They want a tip for anything you need help with. I had a broken leg and wouldn't help me navigate the facilities unless I tipped them. They could careless about the handicapped. You're looked at more like an inconvenience with money. Overall customer service sucked!! Fresh towels take over a day to get! I recommend the Fiesta Americana across the street!! Much BETTER!!

Do not buy the timeshare at Krystal Cancan. Almost everything they promise you is a lie. They will promise you that you will be able to sell your weeks for a profit whitch is a total lie. It has been over two years and not one of my weeks have sold and I have even lowered the price. They also get their members to sign illegal waivers that they claim gives up your right to cancel in 5 days. This is illegal under Mexican law.
