Great Services but Lousy Facilities

If you have a good understanding of what ALL INCLUSIVE means, this does not apply here. Most of the services are extra. The list of activities such as tennis, table tennis, beach volley ball, non mechnaical water sports were non-existent. Just a fiction of the imagination in the brouchure. Ask your travel agent to be HONEST, what is available and what are NOT. If they have no idea, most likely not there. Hotel is great, but cater to "A LA CARTE" type of services. If you are an "AI" customer, be prepared to be a second class customer. Our Transat Agent was mostly un-empowered. Answers were no or checking with the Hotel, and on the day we left, she was still waiting for a "response" from the Hotel. (Yup, I believe that!) Bring a security alarm that hangs on the door handle, because you will need that. The locking system does not allow you to lock your room with a deadbolt. We had other guests entering our room at 11 PM while we were in bed. We did turn the deadbolt to lock the door. Hmmm. After testing serveral times, we show the hotel managers (more than one) and they said "it will be fixed tonight". After 7 days, their tonight was still waiting to happen. (It was a universal feature with all the room locks) We used our luggage to block the door every night since there were a couple of attempts to open our door at night. The Hotel never officially acknowledged that they gave our room to another guest on the day we checked in. Very interesting culture there. If you have teen ages, or looking for some activities at the hotel, this is not the venue you should entertain. They have a very nice and well equipped gym, but others such as sauna and steam bath are extra costs, so are the Bali beds around the pools and on the beach. Be prepared to pay for the previlage of ALL INCLUSIVE on top of the fees you paid. Dinner was a la carte and same limited menu for every day with some items not "included". Quality was very good, and the services were excellent. (You have to tip the waiters - not included) People are polit and friendly. I guess the travel agent sold us on the expectation like all other NORMAL All Inclusive and this one did not deliver nearly half of what is said in the brochure. If we have a choice, NOT THIS HOTEL!

Amazing Vacation in Melia Turquesa!

This is such a great place. My wife and had read a few reports that had worried us - comments on the food, etc. but we had the holiday of our lives. My wife is Peruvian and I'm English, and we loved it. The place is spotless, and there are always people cleaning! The food was great for us - lots of variety, and the burgers on the grill were amazing. There were always enough sun loungers, and always lots of space on the beach for it to seem like it was your own private beach. The sand and sea were just amazing too, like a postcard. I'll try and add a pic from our balcony so you can all see!

The hotel and staff was absolutely wonderful. Everyone at Melia genuinely cared about making our stay pleasurable. The food, drinks and service was FANTASTIC.

Fantastic hotel!

My wife and I go on vacations without the kids every two years. We have stayed at several nice places but the Melia Turquesa was head and shoulders above anywhere we have stayed before. The food is fantastic, the drinks pour, the rooms are nice. The best part is that the employees want you to have a great stay. The front desk, maids, bartenders, cleaning crew, cooks, (I'm sure I forgot someone) everybody was great. I would stay there again.

MT was great! Stayed for 5 days 4 nites and would deff go back. Food was good (went AI) and drink very good. Rooms were very comfy and large, and the service... exceptional. Melia turquesa, a number ONE in Cancun.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly. The food was wonderful. THE DRINKS WERE TASTY AND INTOXICATING! A good hotel for families and people who are just lookinf to have a good time. Go all-inclusive!
