Just got back from our 45th anniversary visit to Le Blanc. It was a very elegant, beautifully decorated, contemporary property, more carribean than Mexican. The service was over the top from the front desk, the wait staff, beach attendant, bartenders, housekeeping. Our every need was met before we asked. The room was outstanding, large double walk-in shower, 2-person jacuzzi tub, great views from 2 balconies. The beach was large,clean, comfortable beach chairs, umbrellas, towels were provided without the hassle of towel cards. Our dining experiences were good, we like to try different things, but if you are a hamburger and fries type of person, they have good ones too. The ambience of the resort was very peaceful, relaxing, serene, soft background music, not a party-central type of place. I highly recommend this resort and will definitely go back.

Top Local Tips for Cancun

Can Our ipods were stolen from our luggage so keep any valuables close at hand or in a safe at all times. Also, when we ventured into Cancun we were approached by many con artists - taking our picture when we didn't want it, telling us it was twice the cab fare, and the list goes on. Just keep your guard up if you decide to vacation in the very touristy Cancun.

Vacation: It's what you make of it. Make sure your ready to relax. Leave the kids with grandparents or friends you can trust, put the dog in a kennel, stop your mail, pack more then one swimsuit, lock your house and leave your worries behind.

the diarrhea! When we stayed in Cancun, my biggest fear was getting Montazuma's revenge ( diarrhea, vomiting). We had absolutely NO problem with this at LeBlanc Spa Hotel- the water is completely filtered,even the tap water. If you do go to Cancun and get sick, it was recommended to me to bring along Rescue-C a vitamin C suppliment that you mix in water. Can be bought at GNC. Even if you don't get sick, this is good to keep from getting dehydrated (too much booze, not enough water) which can also make you feel sick. If it is hot, and you are spending a lot of time outside ( especially if you are sweating, drinking alcohol), I highly recommend this stuff - it is like super-potent Gatorade. Use in bottled water.
